I have my eye on the BoB at BuyBuyBaby and was wondering if anyone has used or knows if I can use coupons for the stroller. We decided to splurge on this stroller since we take lots of walks, spend lots of time outside and travel quite a bit. I have heard that BuyBuyBaby accepts some coupons (Bed Bath and Beyond) and wondered if they are applicable to strollers. Thanks!

Nope but Bob Rev is going on sale today at Amazon at 12pm EST.

Good luck.

BTW, we got ours from Craigslist, brand new with receipt for half of the price from a mom who found out she was high risk so could not walk anymore.

OP, just so you know you're not supposed to use the BOB for walks/jogging until the baby is at least 8 months old.

And using the carseat in the stroller is not a great idea. The safest place for the carseat is in the car.

Thanks for the feed back. We have a Graco travel system for when she is smaller and I just wanted to get an early start on BOb since it is an expensive stroller. I will check out Amazon's sale and look on Craigslist as well.

we used a Bed Bath and Beyond 20% coupon for a Chicco Stroller at Buy Buy Baby - there are limitations on brands (so BOB may be excluded) but strollers in general are not. We ended up returning that travel system and buying the BOB Revolution at REI and the attachment that allows us to use the carseat with it. (We won't jog with baby in there until later). We have friends who have it and love it!

BBB limits discounts on most of the higher end/expensive stroller brands, including BOB and City Mini. I ended up getting a slight ($10) discount on a City Mini that I recently ordered from diapers.com, so it was better than nothing (and they have free shipping and no tax to Virginia and some other states).

Sometimes REI offer a 20% one item in the store sort of coupon.

REI is your best bet. They have 20% off coupons all the time. REI can't be beat in customer service.

Love our BOB!

You can TOTALLY go on walks with the baby from day one. In fact, the back lies nearly flat, although I would recommend a towel or other insert to help stabilize baby's head (just like in a carseat). And 8mo is fairly conservative when it comes to jogging.

The BBB coupons can't be used for any BOB strollers (if you look at the bottom of the coupon, you'll see it listed as an exception). However, we just got our BOB this weekend there because they honor in-store sales and coupons from competing stores (they will not honor internet discounts, like the recent Amazon Mom lightning deal on the BOBs). We had lots of gift cards at BBB after the baby shower, so we stopped at REI, got the flyer advertising their BOBs and took it over to BBB.

BBB was great about it, gave us the discount, applied our gift cards and we got our brand-new 2011 BOB for about $200!

Wow! That's great! I will start monitoring REI for BOB sales! Thanks everyone!

Lately REI puts the BOB on sale for 15% off during the time when they send out the 20% coupon so you can't apply the coupon to it.

I got the idea from this great post, which has tips about places that have run deals on BOBs in the past: http://www.babycheapskate.com/2011/08/24/shopping-secrets-where-to-find-bob-revolution-strollers-on-sale/

Ignore this. The BOB was my savior and had c-sections and couldn't drive. It was the only way I could get out of the house. I got the infant attachement and used it with my Graco seat. Not sure how anyone could argue this is more dangerous than driving on the Beltway with the baby in the carseat.

I just bought my double BOB off D-mart. It is the 2010 model, so not the gray kinds that they are making now.

Ignore the owner's manual recomendations? How dumb can you be?

Peds nowadays will say whatever they know the mother wants to hear when it comes to making life easier. Don't we all hear that it's OK to let the baby stay in that bucket day and night if they like it?

Well I guess we know what's right and what's wrong but who's really willing to do it?
